Privacy policy

Assay displays the EU harmonised legal guarantee notice and the GARAN durability label on a Shopify storefront. This page describes what the app stores and why.

What Assay stores

• Your shop's myshopify.com domain, install date, granted access scopes and plan.
• Your display settings: whether the notice is shown, its width, the language fallback, and any product types or tags you exclude.
• A record of which products the app wrote GARAN values to, and when, so you can review or undo a bulk change.
• An access token for your shop, used only to read your products and write the metafields the storefront reads.

What Assay does not store

Assay does not collect, receive or store customer personal data. It does not read your orders or your customer records, and it does not request the scopes that would allow it to. The storefront artefacts are static images served by Shopify's own CDN, so shoppers viewing a product page do not contact Assay's servers at all and no shopper analytics, tracking or profiling takes place.

Where data is held

Settings and shop records are held on Cloudflare Workers infrastructure. Product and metafield data stays in Shopify; Assay reads it and writes back to it, and keeps only the audit record described above.

Retention and deletion

Uninstalling the app immediately invalidates the access token and ends Assay's access to your shop. Shopify then sends a shop redaction request, at which point all stored shop records, settings and GARAN write history are deleted. You can also request deletion at any time by emailing support@furvur.com.

The GARAN metafields Assay wrote to your products belong to your shop and stay there after uninstall. The app's bulk tools can clear them before you uninstall if you want them gone.
